Blue Period is out on Netflix worldwide

Thanks to today’s digital world; nowadays, we can watch the latest Japanese anime on time. On 9th October, Netflix has released a new Japanese anime Blue Period Worldwide.

About Blue Period

Blue Period is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Tsubasa Yamaguchi. Kodansha’s seinen manga magazine Monthly Afternoon has been serializing it since June 2017. Also, Kodansha USA licenses its English edition.

The TV anime series has started on the Japanese TV program Super Animeism on 28 TV stations network of TBS and MBS broadcast. Moreover, Netflix has released it on 25th September 2021 in Japan and on 9th October 2021 worldwide. The opening theme song, EVERBLUE by Omoinotake, is gaining popularity after the release on Netflix.

Yatora Yaguchi is in his second year of high school and enjoys his everyday life playing with his friends. He studies well and is good at dealing with things smoothly.

Everyone wants to live the best possible life… and Yatora himself has always felt empty inside himself somehow. One day Yatora was captured by a painting in an art room and found that he was able to express his feelings honestly for the first time. He also discovered the joy of art and started to draw in his sketchbooks on impulse. And finally, Yatora decided on his college choice for art school. The competitive ratio for the art school is 200x. It is only 650 days till the entrance exam!

What is happening in Japan around the anime release?

The manga artist of Blue Period, Tsubasa Yamaguchi, made a series of countdown tweets on her official Twitter account and celebrated the anime’s broadcast and release.

Furthermore, she revealed that she was working on new illustrations for the anime ending. You can watch her latest works after episode 2.

Fans also celebrated the anime broadcasting on Twitter sharing their fan arts.

Celebrating Blue Period’s anime franchise, many brands collaborate with it.

Bandai released new Gashapon toys that are chibi figures from Blue Period’s characters.

Blue Period Museum shop has also released some original goods.

In addition, Kodansha announced to give the Japanese edition of the entire Blue Period manga chapters for free on its digital manga reading platform, Magazine Pocket App. It is available by 22nd October.
