#5 My Hero Academia

My Hero Academia started its expanded distribution on subscription services on 3rd April. In the previous week’s ranking, it had risen from 20th to 13th place. Further, this week it jumped into 5th place. As per the report, this anime is being watched on many OTT services.

The appearance of “quirks,” newly discovered superpowers, has been steadily increasing over the years, with 80 percent of humanity possessing various abilities from manipulation of elements to shapeshifting. This leaves the remainder of the world completely powerless, and Izuku Midoriya is one such individual.
Since he was a child, the ambitious middle schooler has wanted nothing more than to be a hero. Izuku’s unfair fate leaves him admiring heroes and taking notes on them whenever he can. But it seems that his persistence has borne some fruit: Izuku meets the number one hero and his idol, All Might. All Might’s quirk is a unique ability that can be inherited, and he has chosen Izuku to be his successor.

#4 Attack on Titan

Attack on Titan fell to 4th place from 2nd last week. The end of the manga series could have affected the ranking.

#3 Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba retained its third place. It is still popular after the release of its anime movie “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train” last October.

Ever since his father’s death, the burden of supporting the family has fallen upon Tanjirou Kamado’s shoulders. Though living impoverished on a remote mountain, the Kamado family can enjoy a relatively peaceful and happy life. One day, Tanjirou decides to go down to the local village to make a little money selling charcoal. On his way back, night falls, forcing Tanjirou to take shelter in the house of a strange man, who warns him of the existence of flesh-eating demons that lurk in the woods at night.

#2 Detective Conan

The anime movie of Detective Conan has released for the first time in two years on 16th April. It has risen from 8th to 5th place in the previous week. Moreover, this week it is up even more to 2nd place. The anime movie is often promoted in conjunction with the TV series in order to increase the buzz. The same kind of excitement is on OTT platforms too.

Shinichi Kudou, a high school student of astounding talent in detective work, is well known for solving several challenging cases. One day, when Shinichi spots two suspicious men and decides to follow them, he accidentally becomes witness to a disturbing illegal activity. Unfortunately, he is caught by the men. They do him with an experimental drug formulated by their criminal organization, leaving him to death. However, Shinichi lives to see another day, but now in the body of a seven-year-old child.

#1 Jujutsu Kaisen

The No. 1 raking is Jujutsu Kaisen as the same as the previous week. It has been steadily popular since January 2021.

Jujutsu Kaisen Synopsis
Yuji Itadori is a genius at track and field. But he has zero interest running around in circles. He’s happy as a clam in the Occult Research Club. Although he’s only in the club for kicks, things get serious when a real spirit shows up at school. When his grandfather is on his deathbed, Yuji promises him; that he will do kind deeds so that he dies surrounded by loved ones, unlike his grandfather.
