Kiyoe Yoshioka, the vocalist of Ikimonogakari, will sing the opening theme song for the TV anime series “A Couple of Cuckoos.” The anime will be starting on TV Asahi from April 2022.

A Couple of Cuckoos (Japanese: カッコウの許嫁) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Miki Yoshikawa. She is also famous for her extraordinary works. For example, Flunk Punk Rumble, and Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches are her masterpieces.
Recently, the production team announced the manga, A Couple of Cuckoos, to be adapted into a TV animation airing from April 2022. At the same time, they declared that the opening theme song is to be Kiyoe Yoshioka’s Dekoboko. It will be available for streaming and downloading on various music platforms on 17th April 2022.
About ‘Dekoboko’ a theme song of A Couple of Cuckoos
The new song Dekoboko was created by Haruko Nagaya from a band called Ryokuoushoku Shakai. Nagaya is a close friend of Yoshioka. Therefore, the collaboration occurred. The song has an authentic pop sound with a very charming feeling. Also, it blends with the world of the anime “A Couple of Cuckoos” to show many different exciting feelings.
The song’s cover art was done by Mr.HARU from koe Inc. He also worked on Yoshioka’s last single ‘Massara.’ His taste is pop as if he took the color and brightness from the song.

Release Information
The iTunes pre-order and Spotify pre-save campaign have started on 18th January before its release on 17th April. Those who pre-ordered or pre-saved get a chance to get an original pen case through the campaign.
