A teaser of a fun workout video was released and went viral in Japan. Nakayama Kinni-kun, a comedian and bodybuilding YouTuber having 1.39 million subscribers, collaborated with Singing Cosplayer Hikari for a fun workout video. Today, Singing Cosplayer Hikari released the key part of the collaborative movie on TikTok.

This is a song called Muscles Please!, the opening theme for the TV anime How Heavy Are the Dumbbells You Lift? The original music video is pretty popular among anime fans worldwide and hit 245 million views.

Nakayama Kinni-kun and Singing Cosplayer Hikari’s Muscles Please! will be out to the entire world on 26th January. The song will be the ending theme of the nationwide TV program Doyou wa nani suru?! (What will you do on Saturday?!) broadcasting on Kansai Telecasting Corporation and Fuji Television Network. Meanwhile, the music video will be on air for 30 seconds every Saturday for 3 months.

The video shooting was at GOLD’S GYM at Makuhari Chiba ANNEX. While Nakayama Kinni-kun taught how to do the exercise, Singing Cosplayer Hikari choreographed the dancing. She hit upon the choreography one day before the shooting. They practiced it together right before.

About Nakayama Kinni-kun

He was born in Fukuoka, Japan in 1978 and is a comedian and bodybuilder. He went to Los Angeles in 2006 to “study muscle” and graduated from Santa Monica College in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology.

In May 2021, he won the 29th Tokyo Novice Bodybuilding Championship in the 75kg class. He is also active as a bodybuilder. Currently, his YouTube channel “The Muscle TV” is gaining popularity with over 1.39 million subscribers.
