#5 Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba retained its 5th place from 3rd previous week. Though, it is still popular after the release of its anime movie “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train” last October.

Ever since his father’s death, the burden of supporting the family has fallen upon Tanjirou Kamado’s shoulders. One day, Tanjirou decides to go down to the local village to make a little money selling charcoal. On his way back, night falls, forcing Tanjirou to take shelter in the house of a strange man, who warns him of the existence of flesh-eating demons that lurk in the woods at night.

#3 Tokyo Revengers

“Tokyo Revengers” took third place, and it is expected to be a big hit due to the high level of interest in its movie.

In this ranking, the most notable is “Tokyo Revengers,” which started its broadcast on April 10. It was also released on OTT platforms on the same day. The title immediately rose to No. 32 in the April 17 survey, No. 31 in the April 24 survey, No. 9 in the May 1 survey, No. 5 in the May 8 survey, and further up to No. 3 this time.

The anime originates from a manga serialized in “Weekly Shonen Magazine” published by Kodansha. In addition to the TV anime, a live-action movie will be released on July 9 this year.

#2 Detective Conan

Due to the release of “Detective Conan: The Scarlet Bullet” on April 16, “Detective Conan” has been No. 1 for three consecutive weeks since its actual release on April 24. However, it surrendered the No. 1 position this week.

#1 Jujutsu Kaisen

“Jujutsu Kaisen” overtook “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” at the time of the January 23 inspection and held the No. 1 position for 13 consecutive weeks. However, due to the release of “Detective Conan: The Scarlet Bullet” on April 16, “Jujutsu Kaisen” maintained its No. 2. But, it regained the No. 1 position this week.
